The Reserve Bank of Australia has just announced that it is broke. It has government backing and so it will not be insolvent, as it also prints money, but it will fall short on the Bond market payments and will have to meet the liabilities with fund production but it will be nothing like the chaos that will eventuate when the Fed collapses in the US. So also the Swiss Central Bank is in the same position.
