Sabbath 08/1/44/120

Dear Friends,

Yesterday was the Fast for the Sanctification of the Simple and the Erroneous (No. 291).of the Seventh Day of the First Month. Christ and the Church have kept this fast every year since the formation of the Churches of God and the Sanctification of the Temple was instituted under the Laws of God (cf. Annex A).  It was only in the last few centuries since the formation of the US systems that the fast was not properly practised and the Passover lapsed as a properly kept institution in its branches other than CCG.

This Sabbath sees the last days for the preparation for the Passover and the Lord’s Supper begins after dark on the evening of March 25th beginning the 14th Abib and follows into the Sabbath which is the First Holy Day of Unleavened Bread, in accordance with God’s Calendar (No. 156).

This Passover and Unleavened Bread we will study the Papers Commentary on Romans F045iii, and iii. and
Commentary on Revelation F066iiiiiiivv.

The 21 days of the Sanctification process goes on to 21 Abib which is the Last Day of Unleavened Bread and on the 16th Day of the month we commence the Count to Pentecost from the Sunday which is the Wave Sheaf Service commemorating Christ’s ascent to the Throne Room of God and his return on his acceptance (cf. The Forty Days Following Christ’s Resurrection (No. 159A). That begins the 50 days of the Omer Count to Pentecost which is the Feast of Weeks.  Again we also keep that feast out of our gates.

It is important that we keep this feast correctly according to the Temple Calendar as God instructs; if we wish to be acceptable, and qualify, under God’s Grace, to take part in the First Resurrection from the Dead (No. 143A).

There are many things ahead of us over the next few years and we face many trials before we are able to make our way through the Sabbath Cycle ahead of us.

Encourage one another and make the most of what lies ahead of us.
